Wolf Cubs - Children's Martial Arts

CHILDREN'S MARTIAL ARTS

Children need variety and stimulus to grow into rounded, well-adjusted adults.
White Wolf Dojo provides a safe but challenging environment for children to use their body, mind, and spirit in a healthy and robust way.

Classes are non-competitive. Our biggest competitor is ourselves and martial arts training is about mastering yourself. Children learn physical skills like agility, strength, flexibility, speed, and endurance. However, these are nothing compared to the life skills learned by trying your best, committing to regular training, setting goals, never giving up, and achieving your own personal best.

All students at White Wolf Dojo, from Wolf Cubs to Adults, are encouraged to live by a
code of honour called “The Warrior Code”.

The code entails:

  • Respect

  • Courtesy

  • Courage

  • Self-control

  • Honesty

  • Loyalty

  • Perseverance

  • Kindness

Each week, Wolf Cubs participate in a “wolf warrior talk” where they are challenged to put these fine attributes into practice inside and outside the dojo. Through constant, patient practice, students learn will power and determination. They become positive role models for each other.

All children’s programs at White Wolf Dojo have a strong anti-bullying focus.
Wolf Cubs learn physical skills that keep them safe and build their confidence. They learn to recognise bullying when it happens and respond appropriately. Wolf Cubs know that bullying and violence is never, ever acceptable.

Wolf Cubs also learn about stranger danger. While they know that not all strangers are dangerous, they are aware that some strangers might be and they know how to stay safe if a stranger approaches them or their friends. For parents, we need to recognise that the reality is that children are in truth more likely to be in danger from people they already know.
White Wolf Dojo helps to teach children to trust their own innate wisdom and intuition to give them the confidence and tools to protect themselves.

All children’s programs at White Wolf Dojo are run by NCAS qualified trainers who have undergone police background checks and senior first aid training. The trainers have many years’ experience in martial arts and teaching martial arts to children.
