Jujutsu - Adult Martial Arts

ADULT MARTIAL ARTS

At White Wolf Dojo, we don’t specialise in a particular style. We combine elements of Jujutsu, Aiki Jujutsu, Aikido and Kickboxing.

This eclectic collection of techniques provides a broad range of skills to learn and produces a well-rounded martial artist.

WWD jujutsu is not MMA or cage fighting. It is an effective, easy to learn system of self-defence. It is an excellent martial art for people who want to learn general martial arts and get fit and strong. You will learn to strike using your hands, knees, feet and elbows. This is our kickboxing element. You will learn to defend against various grabs and strikes. These are simple self-defence moves which derive from Japanese Jujutsu and Aikido. You will learn to fall over smoothly and safely without hurting yourself.

Although it is a modern martial art, we practice in the Spirit of the Japanese Warriors of old. It is not the attainment of great skill that is the focus. What matters most of all is the spirit and attitude in which we train our techniques. Physical training in Martial Arts is loads of fun. Beyond the physical aspect, it is a way to build personal qualities like self-discipline, deeper focus and attention. Most importantly, as we train, our frame of mind improves and we begin to access a genuine sense of inner calm which is truly our own.

We practice in a non-competitive environment where each student is encouraged to try their best to achieve their own personal goals. While each student is unique, we walk the same path of self-discovery and self-improvement. White Wolf Dojo strongly emphasises helping each other along the way; it is through helping others that we bring out our own stronger, inner white wolf.
